Dear Lorraine,

We are 24 now and you have fought so many battles that even some soldiers were returned home because they could never stand for them.

If I met you, I’d run to you like wives and children of soldiers who thought that their lives had been taken away from them, and at that very moment I would come kneeling before you, my knees kissing the ground beneath me. I’d look you straight into your tear-filled eyes and tell you: HE KEPT US. He kept us going, He made us strong, He renewed our strength every day because you put all your trust in Him at that age, He made sure I run and not grow weary, I walk and not faint.
