Just graduated and nowhere to show off? That wasn't a problem for Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida, who recently attended an interview in her graduation clothes.
With the spread of the coronavirus, institutions have had to take their classes and graduations online. Most of the 2020/21 graduates missed out on a chance to don the cap and gown and walk across the stage and instead got to only join their graduation ceremony online.
Miss SA, affectionately known as Shudu, graduated just days after her 25th birthday and she could not be happier.
She attended a virtual graduation and when she was invited for an interview after, she showed up in graduation clothes.
After my virtual graduation today, I had an interview opportunity with VC Prof Zeblon Vilakazi & of course I went in my grad attire. This pandemic has led to trying times & uncertainty for everyone. To all students who had to persevere even in the least ideal times… phambili??? https://t.co/AZRqJq9bk2 pic.twitter.com/UMUHA1pJZ2— Shudufhadzo (@abigailmusida) July 20, 2021
Shudu graduated with a BA honours in international relations from the University of the Witwatersrand.
