He is known for resolving family problems on popular Moja Love show, Rea Tsotella.

Now he's the one dealing with a bit of trouble after a voice note containing a conversation between him and a young woman went viral on social media.

Bishop Makamu's scandal has shocked fans.  

In the voice note, the bishop is heard asking a young woman for sex. She declines, and he persists while she continues to decline his request.

Moja Love released a statement announcing that he has voluntarily stepped down from the TV channel pending investigation on the matter.

“Moja Love has accepted Bishop Makamu’s decision to voluntarily step down from the channel pending investigation an internal investigation, after a recording with sexual connotations has been circulating on social media,” the channel said.

“On consultation with the channel Bishop Makamu maintains that he is innocent and says that the recording dates back to 2017. He says that the lady in the recording worked for him and that their conversation was not sexual in any manner and it was altered to extort money from him.”

This hasn't stopped fans on Twitter from putting their two cents in about the situation.
