It may be dismissed with prejudice, however the lawsuit against the stand-up comedian and actress has left her losing gigs left right and centre.
But comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish says she is now picking up the pieces following child molestation accusations against her and Aries Spears.
The sexual abuse lawsuit lodged against Tiffany has left the Girls' Trip star jobless even after the woman who lodged it asked the courts to drop it.
The year 2017 belonged to Tiffany after she finally had her breakthrough with a leading role in the comedy film Girls Trip. She won a Primetime Emmy Award for hosting a Saturday Night Live episode and also published a memoir, The Last Black Unicorn that year.
Then things took a downward turn last year after her inclusion on The New Yorker's list of the best film performances of the 21st century for Girls' Trip.
After it emerged the 42-year-old actress was facing a child sex abuse lawsuit alongside fellow comedian Aries Spears surrounding a 2014 comedy skit, Tiffanny's rising star took a tumble.
Even though the civil case has been dropped, it led to her being unemployed because of its effect, the standup comedian says.
She was accused of intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence, sexual battery, sexual harassment and sexual abuse of a minor in relation to a comedy sketch titled ‘Through the eyes of a paedophile’ which was released in 2014.
The 22-year-old woman who accused Tiffany and Aries has requested for the case to be dismissed with prejudice.
Speaking to TMZ Haddish said that she lost all her jobs and gigs due to the allegations.
"Oh I lost everything, all my gigs gone. Everything gone. I don’t know, bro…I don’t have no jobs," she told the website.
