She's had 14 good years on her show. She's had controversial topics, there have been calls to cancel her occasionally and she's dealt with some health issues in between.
Now it's coming to an end. Wendy Williams introduced her show, aptly named The Wendy Williams Show, in 2008. She had spent years as a radio personality before moving to TV.
As of June 2022, The Wendy Williams Show will no longer be aired.
The show held on while Wendy fought Covid-19, with various guest hosts taking over while she was away.
Now Sherry Shepherd has been confirmed as the new host. The show will also be named The Sherry Shepherd Show.
Everyone who worked on The Wendy Williams Show was immediately hired for Sherry’s show.
Wendy has had a number of health issues, which have worsened in the last three years. She has been open about her struggles with lymphedema on her show, along with Graves disease, which resulted in her much-publicised collapse on national TV during her show in 2017. Graves disease is an autoimmune disorder that causes hyperthyroidism.

Due to Covid-19, she’s also suffered from psychiatric issues, which delayed the premiere of season 13 of her show.
Fans have been rooting for her to return.

It's unclear whether we'll ever see her on TV again, but her fans will definitely be waiting for her.
If Wendy is going off the air, I’ll say this… I hope her health is together or that she gets better. I don’t think she cares about the show that much anyway. Because now that they’re handing out 100M dollar podcast deals… who’d be better than an unfiltered Wendy Williams?! pic.twitter.com/YToR9IIcPx
