She's one of the most private celebrities. So it was a wonderful surprise to fans when she dropped a wedding picture on her Instagram.

She was making a big announcement - she was a married woman and she had been for a year already.

Emmy-winning actress Uzoamaka Nwanneka Aduba is married to cinematographer Robert Sweeting, reports E! online.

Sources confirmed that she in fact got in 2020 and decided to only share the news with her fans on their anniversary.

The actress, who plays Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren on the Netflix show Orange is the New Black, shared that she was actually celebrating her 1-year-anniversary.

She started off by sharing a quote from the movie When Sally met Harry, which read “When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”

“For some of us, it can feel like we spend our whole lives waiting for our special someone. My heart, my love — I’m so happy my life started last year with you. You’re the best thing that ever happened to me,” she wrote on Instagram.

To celebrate their union, her husband also penned a heartfelt message and shared beautiful pictures of them together.

“One year ago I married this gorgeous, talented and incredible woman,” he wrote on Instagram.

“This past year has made me appreciate the fragile nature of life and the importance of living it. At a time where the world is upside down, we learned to find joy and peace in each other. You are the greatest person I’ve ever know and I’m proud to be your husband. #happyanniversary.”
