Another month, another grief milestone for him to get through.

This time rapper AKA, real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, released a single honouring his late fiancé Anele Tembe on her birthday.

She died after in April after falling from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in Cate town. He penned a tribute to her on what would have been her 22nd birthday.

The All Eyes on Me hitmaker poured his heart out and dropped a song titled Tears Run Dry.

The first verse lyrics describe his state of mind. "First thing on my mind when I wake up, I can not feel sunshine with you, not by my side, nothing else can replace us, tried to break down and cry but all my tears run dry."

In Tears Run Dry, the rapper shares that he sees his late fiancé in his dreams, and as a result, he struggles to sleep because when he wakes up he cannot run away from reality.

"I saw you in my dreams, maybe that's why I am so terrified to go to sleep, not because I don't want to let go of you again, but because when I wake up reality is deep.

"Go Nelli it's your birthday, we going to party like it's your birthday... in heaven with your mommy."

AKA (33), wrote the song as a tribute to Nelli. He shared the poster on social media and captioned it "Happy Birthday Baby."

The emotional song has been in the works for months. AKA had a teaser of it on his Instagram story back in June.

Since the release of the song, his fans can't stop gushing over it.
