She's in the public eye but that doesn't mean her children automatically have to be. She has protected their identities on social media for years.
Radio personality Unathi Nkayi is serious about privacy. She recently let South Africa see her 18-year-old sons face for the first time.
She never posts her children’s full pictures as a way to protect them from the public and the cruelty of social media.
Unathi has two children from her previous marriage to Thomas Msengana, Sinako - who recently turned 18 - as well Imbo their daughter.
She celebrated Sinako on her Instagram.
"Nako Wam. Sitting here infront of me I can’t believe you’re 18. Daddy and I did it. You’re happy. Beautiful. And ours. I love you up to God Nako.
"You said ‘Moms I’m 18 now. You don’t have to protect me anymore. I can protect myself. You don’t have to hide my face anymore," she continued.
She thanked him for giving her life purpose and for a being a testimony of her and Thomas's love.
"Enkosi Nako wam. Thank you for making me grow up and have a purpose. Thank you for being who you are to Mboshla. Thank you for being a true testimony to Daddy’s and I’s LOVE PS Daddy is still taller than you."
