Theirs was a romance written in the stars, and not even death can make that love grow dim.

Media mogul and actress Connie Ferguson recently celebrated her 52nd birthday – her first birthday without her late husband of 20 years, Shona Ferguson, after his passing last year.

The actor died on 30 July 2021 due to Covid-19 related complications.

The year before the tragedy, Mr Sho gave a touching speech in a celebration to mark the occasion of Connie's 50th birthday. The message moved them both of them to tears.

“You are the blueprint. I know for a fact that you are not celebrated enough. You are for me the most amazing thing in my life, you are my partner, you are my best friend and my soulmate. Your happiness is my number one priority,” he said.

He went on to say that he wanted to give her all her heart's desires. “We live in a world that filled with darkness and you are light, Vrou yaka, mfanakithi. I cannot imagine life without you.”
