The star took to his Instagram page to post a video of himself in a hospital bed and apologised to his fans for not being able to make the show.

"Apologies for not being able to perform last night at Macufe, Bloemfontein. Have a bacterial infection that I’m fighting, and my voice is not 100% at the moment. Really feel terrible about last night, but it was something beyond my control. Will make it up to u guys somehow, I promise. Apologies once again," he wrote.

This is not the first time the singer has had a health scare this year. He was forced to take a break from his busy schedule after a panic attack landed him in hospital in January 2019.

"I ended up in hospital yesterday because I just couldn’t breathe. Apparently, I had a panic attack! This has made me realise I need to have more me time and just calm down," he explained at the time.

Following up to his hospitalization, Vusi posted a picture on Instagram where he updated his fans that he was out of hospital and thanked them for all the well wishes.""Thank you for all the 'get well' messages... I’m out of hospital and feeling so much better. Hell, my voice is back and better than before!? ready for Botswana, Namibia and Nigeria. By the way, I’ve been nominated for the @afrimawards 'best album in Africa' & 'best Produced album in Africa' thank you Africa for your love and support," he wrote.
