However, Warren admits that like a duck on water, things might come across as if they’re easy on the surface but underneath it’s quite challenging.

The Scandal! actor was referring to his character in the dance drama series Tjovitjo, where he played MaFred.

He says the challenge was also due to the fact what was going on onscreen was what was happening in the country and it felt so real.

He adds that it breaks his heart to watch the show because of its authenticity.

"This has been my most challenging role to date, the realness drew me in. It is the state of the nation at the moment. So much of it is heartbreaking to watch because it is so real. it is the places and the people that the country doesn't normally see on TV," he admits.

The drama series premiered on SABC1 back in 2017 and was immediately a hit with viewers and broke viewership records. It is now available for streaming on Netflix.

Tjovitjo also features well-known actors such as Rapulana Seiphemo, Harriet Manamela, Soso Rungqu and Ntosh Madlingozi among others.
