- 500ml - mealie meal porridge
- - handful of chopped fresh parsley
- 100g - grated mozzarella or Cheddar cheese
- 410g - chakalaka
- 250g - boerewors, cooked and cut into bite-size pieces
Heat the oven to 230 °C. Grease a 5 cm deep baking sheet or cake tin with nonstick spray.
1 Prepare the porridge according to the packet instructions and press into the bottom of the prepared baking sheet or cake tin.
2 Spread the chakalaka over and scatter the boerewors pieces on top.
3 Scatter the cheese over and bake for 5-10 minutes or until the cheese has melted and starts to change colour.
4 Sprinkle parsley over and slice.
For a topping variation, sprinkle crispy fried bacon and a little crumbled blue cheese over the pap base. Bake until the cheese has melted and sprinkle fresh rocket over before serving.
