She learnt her lesson the hard way. She spent almost three years behind bars after she was convicted of fraud and money laundering by the Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crime Court in 2017.

She had been accused of paying money into her husband's account from Danone SA, where she worked in 2011. 

At the time of her conviction, Lerato Manaka (37) had been managing Shangaan disco king Papa Penny Penny.
