This autistic Mpumalanga man turns recycled materials in to specialised chairs for children in his community who are living with disabilities.
It was a heartbreaking sight for Mpho Mohlolo. The floor was covered with young children, some with cerebral palsy, and all with some sort of disability which prevented them from sitting comfortably.
Mpho (33) was visiting a disability centre in Mpumalanga where he’d once been a patient. He promised himself he would do something to help these children. As a youngster, his family nicknamed him the “handyman of the house” because he’d always been good at fixing and building things, and that’s the talent he put to work.
