He is currently a legal advisor in the office of the Minister of Human Settlements, Water, and Sanitation.

Advocate Jan Tladi (50) went against the odds and became the first completely blind student to graduate with a PhD from the North-West University (NWU).

Jan, who's been married for 22 years and has one son, also holds a B Juris and LLB degree from the University of Limpopo, an LLM from the University of Pretoria, and a diploma in management development from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
