It's seen as one of the most dangerous areas in that neighbourhood. And children have to walk past it daily on their way to school. 

So one person in the community decided to do something about it. Now he's hailed as a guardian angel by the community of KwaNobuhle, as he risks his life daily to protect children from harm as they travel over a bridge known as a rape and murder hotspot.

Thamsanqa Joseph Nkevu (42) is a martial arts teacher who has dedicated his life to bettering and protecting his community, not only from rapists and murders, but from drug dealers and predators who prey on young schoolgirls in Uitenhage.
