Social workers, bankers, doctors, teachers - that's all the careers the children in their areas knew about. Whenever they asked the children in the rural areas what they wanted to be when they grow up, none of them mentioned engineering, communications or accounting, because they didn't know they could do them as careers.
So Lusanda Mgudu-Njenge (34) and Zine Mdleleni-Misani (35) founded Intlantsi Foundation in 2015 to help students with career guidance.
They have always had a passion for education and seeing children from their hometowns in Flagstaff and Lusikisiki miss out because of lack of resources didn't sit well with them.
