Media personality Lerato Kganyago is venturing into business and launching a hair product line called Hair by LKG. “I’ve always loved hair – well, ever since I could afford it!” she tells DRUM.

Lerato who has ventured in many things from being an air hostess, model, actress, DJ and television presenter expressed excitement when she opened up about the subject.

“I’ll be bringing out a range of extensions, wigs and weaves. I’m super excited about it because hair is big business and I want to stake my claim on the market. This is me creating a legacy for myself and I’m ecstatic about it.”

Her motivation has always boiled down to four little words: do it for yourself. “Don’t do anything to please people or make them see you in a certain way,” Lerato advises.

“Follow whatever passion you have and stick with it until the end. It does pay off. It may take time, but it’s easier to stay committed to something you are passionate about than something you are not.” Sound advice from a woman who knows her limitations – and isn’t ashamed of anything.

And even though she is getting into business, Lerato is not giving up entertainment, its just an extension to the many things she does.
