Golden highway reopened

The Golden Highway, south of Johannesburg, was reopened on Wednesday morning after bus drivers parked buses on the road during a protest, metro police said.

"All the buses were removed and traffic is now moving freely," spokesman Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said.

Earlier, only one lane was open on the highway between Finetown and Ennerdale.

Minnaar did not know why they were protesting.
