Day one of the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz festival kicked off at the Sandton Convention Center last night, much to the delight of jazz fans.
Thousands of fans descended to the convention centre to witness some of the greatest jazz talent in the world.
The festival featured artists such as Jonas Gwangwa, Herbie Tsoaeli, Dwele, Roy Hargrove and many more. But it was veteran crooner Billy Ocean who owned the night.
Drawing he biggest crowds of the night he got them moving to some of his greatest hits such as Suddenly, Get into My Car and When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going. The crowd could not stop moving as the British singer took them down memory lane.
The festival continues today and will see the likes of Dianne Reeves, Gregory Porter and Kyle Shepperd take to the stage.
