He left home at exactly 6am on 14 July headed for work. It was a part of his daily routine. He was wearing a red t-shirt, jeans, and a black jacket carrying his backpack.

He worked for a family as a handyman and was passing Phoenix on his way to his place of work.

He never made it through and never made it home. Nkazimulo Khumalo (29) was killed during the deadly Phoenix unrest on 14 July.
