He’s been front and centre of our fight against Covid-19 – the voice and face we’ve heard and seen advising and reassuring us during these uncertain times.

The pandemic is far from over and we seem to be failing with the vaccine rollout – and yet the government’s chief adviser on Covid-19 has announced he’s leaving us.

It’s time to pass on the torch, says infectious diseases epidemiologist, Professor Salim Abdool Karim. And he feels comfortable doing so because he has a great replacement.
