He has dedicated most of his life to the game of football and today, the chairman of one of the biggest soccer teams on the continent celebrates his birthday. 

Kaizer Motaung turns 76 years old.

His team took to social media to wish him a happy birthday. They wished him well and called on South Africans to share what inspires them about the chairman.

Veteran broadcaster and former Kaizer Chiefs PRO, Putco Mafani tells Drum that Ntate Kaizer has inspired greatness in many young people.

“He is a man that contributed so much in making me the man I am today.  He gave me an opportunity, I grabbed it and I ran with it. I wish him a happy birthday, he deserves many more years because of the goodness and the kindness he has. His greatness has rubbed off on other people, he has inspired so many people.  That says a lot about him, that his greatness has produced greatness in other people. Happy birthday Tshintsha Guluva!” he says.

Legendary referee, Ace Ncobo says the football community is richer for having Ntate Kaizer.

“Happy birthday to the epitome of humility, love and respect. His quiet, unassuming leadership style continues to inspire many of us in the football fraternity and beyond,” he says.
