When Gogo Ngwemabala (Prudence Magagula) joined the reality show Izangoma Zodumo, she wanted to give people a glimpse into the life of a sangoma, she tells Drum. But little did she know how dramatically her own life would change.

In the hit reality show, which ended in 2020, two young gobelas, Gogo Ngwemabala and Gogo Maweni (Lee-Ann Makopo) share their journeys and well-kept secrets about the healing work they do as traditional healers.
