In the latest rankings published Monday, the 39-year-old Woods slipped eight places from 96th to 104th.

Plagued by injury, Woods has not played competitively since early February and is unlikely to enter the Masters, the first major of the season, which begins next week.

Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy, aiming to complete a career grand slam by winning in Augusta, remains world number one ahead of Swede Henrik Stenson and reigning Masters champion Bubba Watson.
