Comedian and actress, Celeste Ntuli joins the proposal show, Will He Say Yes, on DStv’s HONEY channel (173)

The show is on it’s second season, previously having featured media personalities, Pamela Mtanga and Karabo Ntshweng as hosts. Ntuli brings a new flair to the show that sees women propose to the men in their lives. Audiences can look forward to stories that are more real, spicy and heartfelt. We caught up with Ntuli for a catch-up.

1. This is a different role than what you usually do, what was the scariest part of doing Will He Say Yes?

I was totally different from anything I have ever presented. I learnt a lot from the show, my interviewing skills were sharpened by the subjects and dealing with the real emotional issues of the guests.

2. How have you managed the emotions that a lot of the women experience on set, whilst still trying to execute the role of the presenter?

I always manage my emotions by voicing my feelings it always works for me and it helped me a lot as a presenter because I’m not afraid to ask so I can learn and do better.

3. What do you think makes this show special?

I loved that the production was led by women who are honest and kind. I loved that even the camera crew had a young lady that was inspiring to me. The concept of love has been narrated in one way, and I appreciate that the show is changing that narrative and women can take action in their relationship. It goes beyond gender.

4. If there's one misconception about you that you'd clear up, what would it be?

One misconception about me is that I’m hardcore and I am emotionally strong all the time. I love that Will He Say Yes showed a very soft side of me.

5. What are three things you're currently obsessed with?

I’m always on the lookout for new music Burna Boy and I watch Podcasts.

6. Where to now for Celeste Ntuli?

From here I’m going straight into my shows which are finally going to be in full capacity after almost 3 years of Covid rules.

Catch #WillHeSayYes every Saturday at 21:30 on DStv 173.
