The end of the Australian chapter - it's about simplifying our business, says Investec

Investec is ready to close its Australian chapter, some 23 years after expanding its footprint to that market. The banking group is closing down its remaining operations in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, bringing to an end the journey that the group began in 2014 when it sold its Australian banking business to the Bank of Queensland.
