Cape Town - Dudu Myeni, chairperson of South African Airways, states in a lengthy letter why she cannot resign from her position at the beleaguered state-owned airline.

In a response to a question from DA MP David Maynier, Myeni says "it is in the best interest of SAA and taxpayers that I serve my prescribed full term".

Here is Myeni's full response to Maynier's questions, which she sent on Thursday to the Standing Committee on Finance.
