INFOGRAPHIC: The face of Lonmin 5 years after Marikana

Johannesburg – Lonmin is not the same company it was five years ago, before the Marikana massacre took place.

The platinum miner has been facing financial constraints which have been reflected in its profits. The company has not paid out a dividend since 2011.

Further, the leadership of the company has changed with an emphasis on transformation. CEO Ben Magara has said that his appointment is a reflection of the progress made in transformation at the company. Five of the six general managers are black South Africans, he said.

Fin24 highlights major changes at the platinum company in the infographic below.
