Election memorabilia: here's what's up for grabs as market grows

It was 25 years ago that South Africa had its first democratic election, followed by the inauguration of President Nelson Mandela.

Many South Africans kept mementoes of that time and now, 25 years on, there seems to be an online market for memorabilia from that first election.

Gumtree's Estelle Nagel says there's an extraordinary range of 1994 items on sale. "Most of it doesn't have huge value yet, but some of it undoubtedly will in future," commented Nagel.

She provided some examples of recent sales of such memorabilia:
