CHART: SA economy rebounds as political risks loom

Johannesburg - South Africa’s economy probably rebounded, growing at the fastest pace since 2014 in the three months through June, according to a Bloomberg survey.

The outlook for the rest of the year may be clouded by political turmoil after reports that Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan may be arrested and the news that some money managers have stopped lending to certain state-owned companies.

Statistics SA is scheduled to release gross domestic product data at 11:30 on Tuesday.
