Cape Town - Francois Groepe, former managing director and chief executive officer of Media24, has been reappointed to the position of deputy governor of the South African Reserve Bank (Sarb). 

President Jacob Zuma on Friday issued a statement, saying Groepe has been reappointed for another five-year term with effect from 1 January 2017. 

“Mr Groepe was first appointed Deputy Governor of Sarb in January 2012 for a five year term ending on 31 December 2016," the statement read.
