Cape Town - The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the SA Reserve Bank (Sarb) will make its first interest rate announcement for 2017 this afternoon.

Economists polled by Fin24 seem to agree that the MPC is likely to again keep interest rates the same this time.

Mike Schüssler of Economists dotcoza thinks interest rates will stay unchanged for most of the year, with a chance of a small increase if inflation does not drop as much as expected.
