Taxes and spending is not the way out of SA's economic crisis, ANC's Enoch Godongwana warns

South Africa cannot tax or spend its way out of the current economic crisis, the head of the ANC's economic transformation committee, Enoch Godongwana, said. 

"Government expenditure is too high for the amount of revenue that the economy can generate," he said in his submission to the party's weekend lekgotla.
