London - European stocks were little changed, with gains in automakers offsetting a drop in healthcare stocks after shares reached their highest level since 2015 on Monday.

The Stoxx Europe 600 Index was 369.74 at 11:39 in London. Automakers gained 1.1% with Peugeot among the biggest advancers after the firm’s owner was said to be exploring an acquisition of General Motors Company’s European business.

The regional gauge on Monday closed up 0.8% at its highest level in more than a year, after a broad rally that was underpinned by rising raw-materials prices and forecasts for stronger inflation.
