'A long to-do list of projects': Reaction to govt's draft plan to kick-start economy muted

Economists have reeled at the recently South African Economic Reconstruction and Recovery Plan, saying that it is bogged down with projects and plans, while lacking a clear strategy to mend South Africa's economic fortunes.

The plan was presented to the economic cluster of the Cabinet Lekgotla last Wednesday. 

President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to brief the Parliament on Thursday about government's plans for the economy and the leaked plan is expected to be a central to what he presents to South Africans.
