Eskom CEO Andre De Ruyter says he has not experienced political interference since taking the helm at the power utility nearly a year ago.
De Ruyter was speaking during a webinar hosted by PSG on Tuesday, as part of its Think Big series.
"I must say, the narrative that is out there about political interference at state-owned entities is not something I have experienced. People have complained about Minister [Pravin] Gordhan in particular, I have found him to be supportive," said De Ruyter. "Of course, he holds me to account, of course he is disappointed when there is load shedding, but I think that is the case for every South African," he added.
