The iPhone ditched the headphone jack in favour of wireless earbud phones.

Apple's new iPhones feature faster processors, an updated home button and will come with water and dust protection.

They also feature a wide colour gamut display similar to the new technology included in ultra-HD TVs.

The iPhone 7 further has stereo speakers for the first time, with twice the volume of iPhone 6S speakers. The phone's battery life is improved as well.

Apple estimates that the 7 Plus will have an additional hour of battery life compared to the 6S.

Camera improvements include a new flash with four rather than two shades of color to match ambient light.

High-end photographers can get images in RAW format, which allows for more versatile editing, matching what many leading cameras now have.

Below are the lyrics to our rapping review of the iPhone. The rap song, I phone from my iPhone, is courtesy of Kyle 'Paul' Venktess:

I phone from my iPhone
Just let you know it's in my time zone
C-A-T just like a cat
To J-H-B that's where it's at

(That's right)

I phone from my iPhone
Just let you know it's in my time zone
CAT just like a cat
In JHB that's where it's at

I'm on the seventh level, like a seven story
With an iPhone 7 in my inventory
It's got a Wide Colour Gamut display
For better graphics in mobile gameplay
Don't forgot about Supermario
It's just single-handed game scenario
Now I can turn my iTunes up in stereo
It's like a cinema when I'm watching a video
Courageous enough to lack a headphone jack
And in a starter pack an iPhone in jet black
I always have to keep my Airpods next to me
Cause Apple just gave my headphones vasectomy
Attracted to Apple like magnetic disk
Ever since the Note 7 was declared a flight risk
The iPhone 7's gonna cost a high amount
So rest in peace to balance in my bank account

(That's right)

I phone from my iPhone
Just let you know it's in my time zone
C-A-T just like a cat
In J-H-B that's where it's at
I phone from my iPhone
Just let you know it's in my time zone
C-A-T just like a cat
In J-H-B that's where it's at
