Eskom says it will take another nine years before the Medupi coal-fired power station can comply with air quality standards related to sulphur dioxide emissions. But members of the Lephalale community in Limpopo, where Medupi is located, say they have been struggling with air and noise pollution and believe the power utility has had enough time to make the necessary changes to improve air quality.
