Industry body volunteers 9 000 accountants to help SA fiscus account for its funds

The CEO of the South African Institute of Business Accountants, Nicolaas Van Wyk, has said government would need the country's professionals when implementing its Economic Reconstruction and Recovery Plan and his institution is offering its 9 000 accountants to volunteer. 

Speaking to Fin24 on Thursday, Van Wyk said Minister of Finance Tito Mboweni’s Medium Term Budget Policy Statement next Wednesday would be a unique occasion and that government needed unprecedented efforts to ensure that its economic recovery plans realise the desired outcomes.
