Lawyers representing Santam client MaAfrika Hotels say the insurer is hiding behind terms and arguing semantics on whether Covid-19 is a notifiable disease to avoid liability.

MaAfrika took the insurance giant to court over unpaid lockdown business interruption claims. The case started on Tuesday morning before a full bench of judges in the Western Cape High Court.
