The Hawks are in the process of collecting witness and bank statements from foreign countries under mutual legal assistance compacts in the state's long-running criminal probe of retailer Steinhoff.
These will be included in a final forensic report which will serve as the basis for the state's case.
On Tuesday, Hawks Head Lieutenant General Godfrey Lebaya presented an overview of the unit's case to Parliament's key Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa), which has asked for monthly updates.
