Private hospital group Life Healthcare may be selling its Scanmed operations in its Poland business, but new CEO Peter Wharton-Hood says it will not be acquiring any new overseas businesses in the medium term and will instead focus on organic growth.
The group’s announcement this week that it had found a buyer for its Polish operations, Scanmed, concluded a decision made during Wharton-Hood’s predecessor, Shrey Viranna’s, time in the company. Viranna left earlier this year, but before that the group began looking into disposing of the group of acute and specialist eye hospitals.
