Sanlam will likely spend about R1.1 billion on its latest acquisition spree and believes this is just the next lever of growth it needs to pull to outrun the competition. The insurance giant announced on Friday that it has agreed to buy out BrightRock Insurance and acquire a 26% stake in estate planning company Capital Legacy for R1.1 billion after selling its Sanlam Trust operations to it for R390 million.
