Primedia's broadcast division - the home of radio stations including CapeTalk, KFM and 702 Talk Radio - has had to battle with the Covid-19 pandemic and a fraught business environment, but believes a re-launch of its biggest brand and loyal listeners will see it through to better days.

No media company was spared from the ravages of the coronavirus pandemic, as the subsequent national lockdown that began in April hurt company's pockets and advertising revenue dried up. Primedia had to consider job cuts, as other media outlets did.

Radio is facing more and more competition than ever, despite being one of the most effective news and communication mediums for advertiser reach and consumer engagement.
