It’s been just over a year since Seelan Gobalsamy was appointed as CEO of chemicals and agricultural group Omnia, but it appears that he has made good on his promise to turn the company around after a leadership shake-up.

The appointment of Gobalsamy was a change in tradition of appointing chiefs for the 66-year-old company, where Adriaan de Lange had been at the company for more than 10 years before his appointment as CEO, and his predecessor Rod Humphris whose career at Omnia spanned over 40 years.
