When it comes to how investors perceive government's position on the transition away from coal, contestations within Cabinet about the issue are "not helpful," says Ninety One's new chief sustainability officer, Nazmeera Moola.

Moola, who was previously Ninety One's head of South African Investments, said she had always had an interest in making financial markets work for development - and sustainability is an extension of that passion.
