Transnet and Kalagadi Manganese have clinched a deal which will provide rapid rail loading for emerging miners who will soon gain greater access to the manganese line.
The deal, which was signed on the sidelines of the Investing in African Mining Indaba on Tuesday, will see Kalagadi sharing loading capacity at a rail siding at its mine in the Northern Cape.
The deal forms part of Transnet's wider plan to provide emerging manganese miners with greater access to rail and port to export their product.
