South Africa's tourism competitors on the rest of the continent - like Namibia, Zimbabwe, Uganda and Kenya - all have dates for reopening their borders, yet we have none, says Tshifhiwa Tshivhengwa, CEO of the Tourism Business Council of SA.

"People are making travel decisions now and we are wasting valuable time in SA not to have a date announced for our reopening of borders. Just saying it might be 'soon' is not enough," he warned on Friday.
