Cape Town - Tsogo Sun [JSE:TSH] announced the official opening of its newest offshore hotel property, StayEasy Maputo, in Maputo, Mozambique.

This addition to the Tsogo Sun Hotels portfolio will bring the number of properties outside of South Africa for the group to eleven, and the third hotel for the group in Mozambique.

StayEasy Maputo is located along the coast in Mozambique’s capital, 9km from the Maputo International Airport, and adjacent to the Baía Shopping Mall.

The 125-room hotel features an outdoor deck next to a swimming pool, a meeting room for up to 12 delegates, and a self-service workstation. A gym is available at the Baía Shopping Mall.

“We believe in the potential for growth in Mozambique, and StayEasy Maputo will be an exciting addition to our portfolio in the country,” says Bruce Chapman, general manager of both StayEasy Maputo and Southern Sun Maputo.

Nearby attractions for StayEasy Maputo include a wellness spa, casino, night clubs, museums, coffee shops and the Maputo Fish Market.

Tsogo Sun’s portfolio includes over 100 hotels and 13 casino and entertainment destinations throughout South Africa, Africa, the Seychelles and Abu Dhabi.
